About the Role
QMHP assists the client with stabilizing his or her mental health by providing direct care to include linkage to community supports and resources, connecting the client to less intensive services, educating client their mental health diagnosis and collaborating with prospective providers to ensure a successful discharge.
The QMHP is responsible for providing short-term interventions to clients with serious mental health diagnoses to include training in the following areas: crisis response, care coordination, medication management, daily living skills, symptom identification and management, community integration, interpersonal functioning, communication skills and health and wellness management.
Requirements
Understanding of serious mental illness in adults
Understanding of acute mental health crisis and safety planning
Strong clinical and professional boundaries
Ability to focus on outcomes and individualized care
Ability to coordinate with various service providers, insurance companies and family members to achieve positive outcomes and prevent the individual's risk for hospitalization
Strong verbal and written communication skills required
Participation in clinical supervision and staff meetings
Submission of daily progress notes in a timely manner
QMHP Educational Requirements:
QMHP Certification (Required)
Next Level Supportive Services LLC Qualified Mental Health Professionals (QMHP’s) must be registered with the Board of Counseling to provide Crisis Stabilization Services in the greater Richmond area (city of Richmond, Henrico, Chesterfield, Petersburg, Hanover, and surrounding areas.
